I think that it is important to study civics in middle school. I think that it is important because a lot of kids in middle school don't even know what civics is so therfore they do not know a lot about their own country or state.

I think its important to learn Civics in middle school because its important to learn about what is going on around us now, and many kids don't know about their country or state they live in so it will give us a chance to figure it out.

Ya. Those are really good but i also think civics is a good class because it prepares us for high school and jobs in the future. Also, You never know when you could win a sweepstakes or a billion dollars if answer a question about politics and our goverment and history. Civics is also great if u wanted to be a president, politic, or anything doing with goverment. All of yours are really good though!

I think it is very important to learn civics in middle school because not only is it important to learn what is happening right now, like Grace said, but it's important because it gets kids involved in what is happening right now & helps them realize that they can do something about issues in their community, their country, and even around the world.

I think it is important to study civics in middle school because students can learn more about the government and how it works. They will also learn about the state and country they live in. The topics students learn and study in class are things everyone should be aware of.

I also agree with Ryan and Anna, we will need to know what we learn in civics later on in life.

Yeah it's important to learn about civics because so many kids don't even know about the bill of rights or any american historic documents.
It's also important to know how the country runs and who runs the country.

I agree with Bradley, so many kids in middle school dont know what civics is and to add on to that many adults don't know much about civics either.

I think that learning civics is not just good for being aware of what's around you ,but also being able to be ready to express what you know about civics in opportunities later in life

I think its very important to learn civics so you wil be informed about the world. So you know what is going on around the world and you know how a war somewhere might affect you. Its also important so you can not only wow the teachers in highschool, but so that you can just have some general knowledge that will help in you in the future. Maybe in a job or in college. So thats why I think its important to learn civics.

To me it is very, very important to learn about civics because alot of people don't really know what is going around in OUR COUNTRY like how many years a president can serve for. I really think it's BAD that we don't know about our country because when we get older we are going to be learning and hearing more about our coutry.

I think it is VERY important to learn and study CIVICS in middle school! I think it is important since some of our less educated tiny minds, ME do not no much or very little about our country so civics is a great way to learn more about present and long ago history and events about U.S.A for instance i just found out who our vice president is. I think it is important that we learn civics in middle school because, it teaches us what important events are going on in the outside world. Also it helps us learn about politics, government, and what it will be like when we grow up. Last it will teach us more about our country and important information that most of us dont know.

Hey! I'm from 4th Period but this is what I said, "I think middle school is a great time to start learning civics! Think about what would happen without it! Nobody would be aware of the importants events and debates going around the world that could actually change our lives. We even get a look about how our governments run and even some American History. With civics, we can learn about citizenship. Americans take for granted their rights and freedom. Why not learn more about it so we can make the right desicions in life?" Thanks for listening!!!!!!!!!

Hey! I think it's important to learn civics in middle school because its important to know about the US documents and other things that could effect your lifestyle. As Grace said, it is very important to know whats going on in the world around you. to me, this is just as important as knowing what happened in the past so you can relate to how things now have come about.

I think it is important to study civics because most people in middle school dont really know what civics class is.So, I belive thay would naturaly be courious and want to learn more about it. Theirfore they would more than likely want to learn anout the government.

I also belive that we nee dto learn about current events.

I also agree with Jerimiah. It is also important to learn civics because everyone one should know what things like The Bill of Rights and the Preamble to the Consitution are and how they relate to the history of how our government was formed. Another reson why we should learn civics is to become active in our community, our state, and even our nation.
